Prominence sits on 30A at Seagrove, and most people know it as the home of The Hub: the lawn, the screen, the food trucks and the shops that draw half the road on a summer evening. The accommodation is flats and townhomes rather than houses, arranged around courtyards and a shared pool, within walking distance of all of it. That proximity is the thing worth thinking about when you plan dinner. Being able to walk to food is genuinely useful for two or four people. For a group of 12 or 16 on a Friday in July it means a queue, a wait for a table that does not exist, and a party that splits up. Cooking at the property is the version of the evening where the group stays together and nobody stands in line.

We need about 6 ft x 4 ft of level ground with open sky above it and 3 feet of clear standing room on the chef's side. At Prominence that is usually a courtyard, a terrace, or a reserved part of the shared pool deck. Because the units here share their outdoor space, the spot is worth agreeing with the property manager before the date rather than on it: a private terrace needs nobody's permission, a shared deck does. Covered terraces are common in these buildings, and a solid roof over the grill rules the position out, so where that is the case we move to an open courtyard or a parking pad instead.

Prominence is directly on 30A at Seagrove, which makes the address itself simple, though 30A through this stretch is slow on a summer evening and The Hub adds to it. The chef aims to be on site about 45 minutes before your seating and plans around the traffic rather than asking you to. Parking is the part to arrange: hold a space near your unit, because the lots here fill up with people visiting the lawn rather than staying in the building. Prominence is on 30A, so there is no travel fee at all.

Bachelorette and birthday parties in Prominence

Bachelorette weekends and birthdays are what this address takes. A group renting two or three flats here has usually chosen it to be in the middle of things, and then runs into the fact that being in the middle of things does not get 14 people a table together at eight. Dinner at the property solves it in the only way that actually works: everyone eats at once, nobody drives, nobody queues, and the show happens where the group already is. The Hub is still there afterwards, which is the real argument for eating at the house first rather than trying to do both in a restaurant. Rates are the same as everywhere on 30A: $60 per adult on the 2-protein plate, a $500 party minimum, and no travel fee.
