What a 30A bachelorette hibachi party actually costs
By Hibachi Bachelorette6 min read
Every number on this page comes off bookings we have cooked on 30A, not off a calculator. The rate card is published in full; this is what those rates turn into when a real bachelorette group of a real size books a real Friday.
The short answer
$76.20 per guest, all in, for any bachelorette group of 10 or more on the standard 2-protein plate. That figure already contains the 7% Florida sales tax and the 20% gratuity, and it does not change as the group grows, because the rate is per person and there is no travel fee anywhere on 30A. A group of 12 is $914, a group of 14 is $1,067 and a group of 20 is $1,524.
Where that number comes from
Three rates and two additions, and that is the entire bill. All of it is published on our pricing page; none of it is quoted.
- $60 per adult, 2 proteins from chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops or tofu, with fried rice, hibachi vegetables, salad and sauces on every plate
- $70 per adult if you want 3 proteins
- $30 per child aged 5 to 12. Age 13 and over is priced as an adult
- 7% Florida sales tax on the food total
- 20% gratuity on the food total, added automatically so nobody is doing arithmetic at the end of a party
Totals by headcount
There is a $500 party minimum on the food total, before tax and gratuity. Below 9 adults that minimum becomes the floor, which is the only reason the per-head figure moves at all.
Every row below is adults on the 2-protein plate. The most common bachelorette booking we take is 12 to 16 adults, which puts almost every group we cook for between $914 and $1,219.
| Guests | Food | Tax | Gratuity | Total | Per guest |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | $500minimum | $35 | $100 | $635 | $79.38 |
| 10 | $600 | $42 | $120 | $762 | $76.20 |
| 12 | $720 | $50 | $144 | $914 | $76.20 |
| 14 | $840 | $59 | $168 | $1,067 | $76.20 |
| 16 | $960 | $67 | $192 | $1,219 | $76.20 |
| 18 | $1,080 | $76 | $216 | $1,372 | $76.20 |
| 20 | $1,200 | $84 | $240 | $1,524 | $76.20 |
| 24 | $1,440 | $101 | $288 | $1,829 | $76.20 |
The four things that move the number
Protein upgrades. Filet mignon is +$10 per person, scallops +$10, lobster tail +$20. On a group of 14 where 4 people want filet, that is +$40 on the food total and +$51 all in. Groups rarely upgrade the whole table.
Children. At $30 they are half an adult, which matters more on a family weekend than a bachelorette one. A group of 14 adults and 0 children is the normal shape here.
Setup, service and breakdown. +$12 per person if you want tables, linens, place settings and full service rather than the chef and the grill alone. Most bachelorette houses on 30A already have an outdoor table that seats 12, so most groups skip it. What we do need is the space a hibachi grill needs, which is less than people expect.
Group size above 18. Above 18 guests in a single seating we bring a second chef and a second station at no extra charge, so the last 4 people are not eating 40 minutes after the first 4.
The four things that are not on the bill
A travel fee on 30A. There is none, from Dune Allen to Inlet Beach. Destin, Miramar Beach, Fort Walton Beach and Panama City Beach may carry one depending on the exact address, calculated on the booking form and shown before you commit.
Tolls. There is no toll road between us and any 30A address, so no toll line ever appears on a bill from us. Worth knowing, because mobile hibachi companies working the Northeast commonly bill a flat travel fee of around $50 plus tolls, and that structure gets quoted as though it were universal.
Rides. A group of 12 going out to dinner on 30A in July is 3 cars each way, or 1 person who did not drink so she could drive. Neither is on our bill and both are real costs.
Bar markup. You buy your own drinks, or you bring what you brought. We neither supply nor sell alcohol, so there is nothing for us to mark up.
Holding the date
A $200 deposit confirms the date and comes off the final balance. Until it is paid the date is not held.
For a Friday or Saturday between March and August, book 4 to 6 weeks out. Peak-season weekend dates go first, and bachelorette weekends are almost always Friday or Saturday. The rest of the evening is on the bachelorette party hibachi on 30A page.
Questions we get about the money
Is $76.20 per guest really the final number?
Yes, for adults on the 2-protein plate with no upgrades and no setup service, anywhere on 30A. Tax and the 20% gratuity are already inside it.
What is the cheapest a bachelorette hibachi party can be?
$635 in total, which is the $500 party minimum plus 7% tax and 20% gratuity. That covers any group of 8 or fewer.
Do you charge more on a Saturday or in July?
No. One flat rate every night of the week, all year. What changes in season is availability, not price.
Can we split the bill between the group?
Yes. $76.20 each on the 2-protein plate divides cleanly, which is most of why we publish the all-in per-head figure rather than only the food rate.
What happens if the weather turns?
We cook under open sky, so heavy rain is the one thing that genuinely stops us. If the forecast is bad we talk to you the day before about moving the time, moving to a covered-but-open space such as a carport with an open front, or rescheduling.
